Most Underrated Anime’s Of 2024

Most Underrated Anime’s Of 2024

Tired of Mainstream Anime? Here’s 6 Underrated Gems from 2024 You Should Be Watching Let’s be real—everyone’s glued to the same five anime that show up on every “Top 10” list and Reddit thread. And hey, no shade, they’re popular for a reason. But what happens when your watchlist dries up and you’re stuck scrolling endlessly through the same recommendations? That’s where I’ve got your back. While the rest of the internet is busy hyping the obvious, you, my friend, are about to dive into six underrated anime of 2024 that deserve way more love. Let’s get into it.

Number 6: The Witch and the Beast Picture this: a grumpy guy in a trench coat who looks like he stepped straight out of a noir detective flick. That’s Guido. His partner? Ashaf—a woman with the temper of a wild animal and enough sarcasm to cut glass. But here’s the twist: Ashaf isn’t just fierce—she’s literally a beast trapped in a woman’s body, thanks to a curse from a powerful witch. Together, they solve magical crimes that usually involve curses, nightmares, or other supernatural chaos nobody else wants to touch. Their ultimate goal? Find the witch who cursed Ashaf and make things right—well, as right as things can get in a world where your co-worker could be a werewolf. Guido’s as chill as it gets, while Ashaf is pure rage and raw power wrapped in elegance. The result? A beautifully chaotic duo you can’t help but root for.

Number 5: Go! Go! Loser Ranger! If you think you’ve seen every variation of the Power Rangers formula, think again. Go! Go! Loser Ranger! flips the whole thing upside down. Every week, a squad of flashy, color-coded heroes known as the Divine Dragon Rangers defeats goofy monsters from the villain army. But here’s the catch: the villains are tired of losing. Decades of staged beatdowns have left them humiliated and done with this repetitive farce. Enter D, a low-ranking foot soldier who’s had enough. His plan? Infiltrate the Rangers, take them down from the inside, and finally end the cycle. The result is wild: D blends in with humans, sneaks behind enemy lines, and starts sabotaging the Rangers’ spotless image. Of course, they’re not just any heroes—they’re ridiculously overpowered, absurdly popular, and somehow always have perfect hair. Think The Boys, but with spandex, secret identities, and laser cannons.

Number 4: Oblivion Battery This one’s for the sports anime fans—but with a twist. Meet Haruka Kiyomine, a high school baseball prodigy with enough raw talent to take on a pro league team by himself. His pitcher, Kiyoomi Kaji, is just as legendary—well, he was, until he lost all his memories. Yep. Total baseball amnesia. He forgot everything—from the rules to his role on the field. Try reviving your superstar duo when your ace pitcher is out here asking, “So… what’s a fastball?” Every game becomes a hilarious mix of brilliance and chaos, with Haruka trying to carry the team while Kaji casually forgets his own greatness. Somehow, through all the confusion, they keep winning. Oblivion Battery blends peak sports action with absurd comedy and a whole lot of heart. You’ll laugh, you’ll cheer, and you’ll probably yell “What are you doing, Kaji?!” at least once per episode.

Number 3: Ishura Now for something a little more intense. Ishura takes place after the final battle—the kind where every hero unites to defeat the ultimate evil. And they win. The big bad is gone. But with no villain left, these world-saving legends suddenly have way too much free time. What do they do? Naturally, they start fighting each other to see who’s the strongest of them all. It’s like the Avengers finished saving the universe and immediately turned on each other for bragging rights. Every character is wildly overpowered, magically gifted, and way too competitive. Mages rewrite reality just to win arguments. Warriors shatter mountains because someone questioned their strength. Ishura is basically one long, epic flex—but with heart, drama, and absolutely zero chill.

Number 2: Rising Impact Yes, it’s a golf anime. And yes, it’s awesome. Meet Gawain Nanami, a scrappy little guy with a golf swing so powerful it might register on the Richter scale. He stumbles into the sport by accident, discovers he’s ridiculously good at it, and dives in headfirst like every overhyped shonen protagonist before him. But this isn’t quiet, polite golf. No sir. This is anime golf. Golfers unleash windstorms with their swings, shake the earth with putts, and treat every hole like it’s a boss fight. Gawain climbs the ranks by sheer willpower and raw talent, facing increasingly unhinged opponents who look like they trained under Dragon Ball’s Piccolo instead of any actual golfer. It’s dramatic. It’s hilarious. It’s weirdly inspiring. And yes—you will care deeply about golf by the time you’re done watching.

Number 1: Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant What happens when a sparkly, rainbow-shooting magical girl teams up with a crusty old villain who just wants to retire? Pure magic. Luna Miracle is a walking sugar rush—outfits covered in glitter, a wand that shoots butterflies, and the unwavering belief that friendship can fix anything. Her new “partner,” Lieutenant Grimoire, is a grizzled henchman who’s seen too much and has exactly zero patience left. Due to some completely ridiculous turn of events (don’t question it, just enjoy), the two are forced to work together. Luna is all hugs and positivity. Grimoire just wants a nap. But somehow, this unlikely duo makes it work. It’s chaos. It’s wholesome. It’s downright hilarious. If you’ve ever wanted a show that mashes Sailor Moon energy with dry, old-man sarcasm, Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant is your new favorite comfort anime.

Conclusion: The Real Ones Watch the Weird Stuff So there you have it—six anime you probably haven’t seen yet, but absolutely should. While the masses chase down every hyped-up release, you’re out here discovering the good stuff before it hits the radar. And let’s be honest, that makes you cooler. You’ve got taste. You’re the kind of person who turns on a golf anime and walks away emotionally invested. The kind who watches villains unionize against heroes. The kind who isn’t afraid to say, “Yeah, I watched a baseball show where the guy forgot how to play.” In short: you’re a legend. Now go, binge your new favorites, and when you’re done, come back and tell me which one hit the hardest. Or better yet—drop your underrated picks in the comments. We all need more weird, chaotic anime in our lives. Until next time, keep it weird, keep it wild, and keep watching stuff no one else has heard of—because mainstream is fine, but underrated is elite.
And just like that, we’ve made it through six of the most overlooked anime of 2024. While everyone else is still watching the same recycled plotlines in mainstream shows, you are out here digging up the real treasures. That’s what sets you apart. You’re not just a casual watcher—you’re an explorer, a trendsetter, the one who finds the gold before the rest of the world even knows it exists. Seriously, how many people can say they’re watching a show where a magical girl teams up with a cranky villain, or where golf feels more like an epic boss fight than a quiet day on the green? These anime may not be topping the trending charts—yet—but they’ve got personality, originality, and just the right amount of chaos. And look, I get it. Watching popular shows isn’t a crime. But sometimes, stepping off the beaten path leads to way more interesting places. These series bring something fresh to the table: weirdly specific premises, bizarre but lovable characters, and stories that somehow balance absolute absurdity with surprisingly solid writing. So pat yourself on the back. You’ve officially got taste. The kind of taste that says, “I don’t just follow the hype—I find the stuff worth hyping.” Now go ahead, queue up your next binge session, and when you’re done, come back and tell me what hit the hardest. Or, better yet, drop your own hidden gems in the comments—I’m always looking for the next under-the-radar show to obsess over. Until then, keep watching the weird stuff. That’s where the real fun is.
